JK Nexus is a lightweight Jedi Knight community hub focused on live servers and public chat without site-managed user accounts.

Server list model

The server browser reads from the JK Nexus serverlist backend through /api/serverlist. The backend is built around live master discovery and direct UDP server queries, then normalizes the result into one web-friendly snapshot for JK2, JKA, JKG, and MB2 filtering.

The browser stays simple: it displays the latest backend snapshot, live/freshness status, player counts, human counts, ping from the backend query point, and Copy connect commands for the in-game console.

Public chat model

Public Chat is embedded directly from Libera Chat and opens the JK Nexus channel in the browser. JK Nexus no longer runs a custom IRC bridge, WebSocket chat transport, guest profile system, or registration flow for chat.

Chat identity, nickname handling, channel presence, and connection behavior belong to the Libera Chat web client. The JK Nexus app only provides the page shell around that embed.

Privacy policy

  • JK Nexus does not require regular user accounts to browse servers or open chat.
  • The web app does not store public chat messages or chat history.
  • Public chat identity and message handling are governed by Libera Chat.
  • Server list data is processed by the JK Nexus backend to show live server metadata, not to create user profiles.
